12 Months Old!

It happened.  My baby is now one year old.  Yesterday we had his birthday party with just his Grandparents, Gg-ma, and my brother's family.  It was a great party.  Very low key and simple with good food and lots of baby cheek pinches.

Now that we've got that party stuff out of the way, on to the main event.  Why my 12 month/1 year old is better than a meatball sandwich!

My 12 Monther

~ Crawls.  Crawl fast and with skill.  That developed fast.

~ Pulls himself up onto knees and cruises on knees solo.

~ Pulls himself up to standing while assisted and cruises while up there.

~ Crawls at top speed and rams his head into whatever part of your body is handy as a way of showing his love.  Will rub his forehead back and forth against you like a puppy while laughing.

~ Will imitate you doing something.  Especially a cough or toy manipulation.

~ Will use 2 words together.  Specifically "Hai kitty!"

~ Is getting slowly better with table food.  New favorite is beans.

~ Is an expert ring stacker and enjoys stacking his blocks as well.

~ No longer obeys "No!" even though he clearly understands it. 

~ Continues to be a champion sleeper and has started taking his afternoon nap upstairs in his crib without fuss.

Update from Dr appointment:  Weight is 22 pounds 11 ounces, 50%.  Height is 31 3/4 inches tall, 95%.  Head size is 19 1/2 inches, 98%.  So his stats are staying the same and he's growing proportionally.
